Our products

Everything we make.

Three salsas, four tamales, a bean dip, party packs and whatever else you want to ask us for. All of it handmade in small batches.

Pick your heat

Three salsas, three heat levels.

Buy one from either end and every guest at your table is looked after. Our 5 is genuinely hot, and our 1 is genuinely mild — we do not play games with this.

100% satisfaction guaranteed.

We know food has to look as good as it tastes. Every batch is prepared with care — and if you are not satisfied, we will go the extra mile to make it right.

Still not sure?

Frequently asked questions.

Why are there no prices on the website?

Because batch and jar sizes shift through the season and a stale price on a web page is worse than no price at all. Call (530) 783-7211 or ask at either market and you will get the real number.

How long does salsa keep?

Keep it in the fridge and eat it inside a couple of weeks. It is made fresh in small batches with no long-life preservatives, which is the whole point of buying it from a person instead of a shelf.

Can I freeze the tamales?

Yes, and you should. Tamales freeze beautifully in the husk. Steam them 20 to 25 minutes from frozen and they are as good as the day they were made.

Which salsa should I start with?

Red Roasted. It is smoky, medium heat, and it goes with everything. If you already know you like heat, take the Verde Hot as well.

Do you sell jars anywhere other than the markets?

Not currently. The markets, party-pack pickups and catering are the three ways to get our food. If you want us stocked somewhere specific, tell us — we do listen.

Can I order a large quantity?

Yes, and we would rather you gave us notice. Party packs are built by the dozen and holiday weeks book out early. Call (530) 783-7211 with your date and number.

Family owned. Best tamales and salsa in the North State.

Feeding a crowd?

Party packs by the dozen, or full catering with us there serving. Call (530) 783-7211 or send the details for a free quote.
